MSCI will apply its policy regarding trading suspensions for individual securities during Index Reviews for securities included in this list. Regardless of whether these securities resume trading before June 01, 2018 or not, MSCI will still apply this suspension treatment.
According to Appendix VIII of the MSCI Global Investable Market Indexes Methodology book, MSCI postpones the implementation of index review changes for the IMI constituents, as well as Micro Cap constituents, when the affected securities are suspended on the day prior to the effective implementation date of the Index Review. The postponed index review changes will be implemented two days after the securities resume trading.
Furthermore, additions of Chinese securities to all MSCI Indexes (including pro forma MSCI China Indexes, MSCI China A Inclusion Indexes, MSCI China All Shares Indexes and MSCI China A Onshore Indexes) will be cancelled if the securities are suspended on the day prior to the effective implementation of the Index Review. The inclusion of the security will be re-evaluated at the next Index Review.
The abovementioned list of securities are part of the Europe Cycle only.
As a reminder, MSCI sends separate announcements for the list of suspended securities related to Index Review changes prior to the distribution deadlines for each of the Australia, AP Early Product, Asia Pacific, Europe and World cycles.
